      A milestone . . . Adam is officially a veteran teacher, with a semester's experience.  I find this incredibly fulfilling as his wife because we did not know if he would enjoy the classroom as he had electrical work.  Next week, we hope to have over the last of his 6 classes so they have all been in a foreigner's home, eaten chocolate chip cookies, played UNO and Swap, and  been introduced to a 2 year old on the loose.  His bosses tell him he will teach freshmen and sophomore English majors next semester. Usually, the Eng. majors are more motivated students, plus speak with much more ease so he is looking forward to that bunch of kids. 

      Next week we plan to fly and visit some friends on an island.  The six weeks there should be wonderful--rest and refocusing before the spring semester begins.  Adam’s mom will meet us there for 2 weeks.
