Yes, we have finally arrived and we are so glad to be here. We had a long, over 30 hour trip and were relieved to get here. Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly and we know that this is where we are supposed to be. It's hard to know where to begin. There is so much to tell but I'll try to keep this short for now. We thankfully are not really experiencing any jet lag. We took some very good advice and took a sleeping pill on our overnight flight and then another one the night we got here and we are actually are feeling quite good. We're settling into Chinese life. It's still hard to believe that we're actually here. I almost have to pinch myself. =) We are adjusting well to the food. Rick actually likes authentic Chinese food! It is very good but some is still a little bit spicy for us. In time, I'm sure our taste buds will adjust.
 
The driving around here is absolutely crazy! It's a free-for-all!!! We took a taxi ride to Wal-Mart our first night here and I didn't think we were going to survive it. Everyone just honks their horn and that means get out of the way. We were even going into oncoming traffic at times and I just had to hold my breath and hope that we made it...and we did! We're definitely going to have to get used to that. Rick thinks it's a very cool experience. He's a little bit more adventurous than I am! =) We were quite the novelty in Wal-Mart. Everyone stared at us. We feel like celebrities here!
